4 Front Yard Ideas For Halloween
It is finally that time of the year when we can all start decorating our homes - in and out - with the coming of the holiday season. First in line is Halloween.
You can be very creative and go all out with skulls, spider webs, and a bunch of pumpkins or keep it simple and have a few pumpkins on your porch. For those who love to decorate and have fun, here are four ways you can design your front yard for the month of October.
1. HANG CRITTERS FROM TREES.
If you're lucky enough to have trees in your front yard, take the chance and start by hanging fake bats, spiders or other creepy bugs and insects. You can even use the tree to hang a huge spider web to give it a spooky glow. Some even hang ghostly figures so that it sways back and forth in the wind. If you don't want to over do the decorations, make all of your other decorations quiet and simple.
2. FILL THE PORCH WITH NO-CARVE PUMPKINS
Considering our busy schedules, you probably don't have a whole weekend to spare carving out a few pumpkins to put as part of the decorations. Fortunately, one of the most inexpensive decoration tips are placing uncut pumpkins as decorative pieces.
3. LIGHTING EFFECTS
Set the mood for Halloween by adding colored lights to the front of your house. Be sure not to use flashing lights since you may be in a residential area. And it is smart to install motion detecting lights to help trick-or-treaters see the way as they approach your home. Also, you wouldn't be wasting energy.
4. CANDLES CAN CREATE THE ATMOSPHERE FOR YOU.
If you're placing jack-o-lanterns, you'll obviously be using candles but there are other ways to decorate the front yard with candles. For this decoration, its smart to use candles with batteries to stay safe. You can place candles on a windowsill, your porch railing or you can place candles along your walkway.
Now that you have these tips, hurry up and start decorating.
