Hurricane Help From Where You Live

Let us not forget all the wet folks in Texas. I received an email from a Blogger, Amy Locurto who had these great tips for ways we can help even from Sunny California!

Amy Blogs on her website and has so many great tips and recipes that will make your head spin! She also posted a great article with some coping devices which is the last item of our helpful list. Our hearts and prayers are with all of the people displaced and menaced by the weather and flooding.

How can you help from where you live? Here are some ideas you might find helpful...

  • If you want to help right this minute, text ‘HARVEY’ to 90999 to make a $10 donation to the Red Cross. The charge will be on your next phone bill. You can also donate at redcross.org. Watch how the RedCross is helping 9,000 people right now here.

  • Do you live nearby and want to make a meal for people in need? This 10 Minute Instant Pot Potato Soup would be perfect! Make this for someone living near you who is worried about friends and family. They will appreciate the thought.

  • Want to do something for the lost pets? Help the SPCA of Texas by giving in-kind supplies though their Amazon.com wish list found here.

  • Have friends and family trapped or just overwhelmed by the news? Here are 5 things to do when bad things happen.
